Congressman Pat Harrigan, who won North Carolina’s congressional seat in 2024, has addressed a range of issues on his social media account, including global supply chains, law enforcement achievements, and national policy challenges.

On January 17, 2026, Harrigan commented on the global semiconductor industry and U.S. national security concerns. He wrote: “Taiwan produces roughly 95% of the world’s most advanced chips, which power everything from our economy to our national security. Concentrating that capability overseas has always been a strategic risk, especially given the threat of Chinese aggression. This deal reduces that” (January 17, 2026).

Later that same day, Harrigan recognized the efforts of law enforcement agencies in solving a longstanding criminal case in Charlotte: “Nearly nine years after a Charlotte murder, the man responsible is finally in custody. Grateful for the persistence of @FBICharlotte, CMPD, and our federal partners who never stopped working to bring justice home to North Carolina.” (January 17, 2026).

On January 20, 2026, Harrigan reflected on what he described as challenges facing the country over the past year: “A year ago today, the country was carrying the weight of compounding failures, a border system that had effectively collapsed, an economy distorted by inflation and high borrowing costs, a military struggling to meet recruiting demands, and a foreign policy that invited pressure” (January 20, 2026).

Pat Harrigan secured his seat in Congress by defeating Ralph R. Scott Jr. in November 2024 with approximately 57.5% of the vote.
