Congressman Pat Harrigan has recently addressed several issues on his social media account, including crime, immigration policy, research infrastructure, and border security.

On March 27, 2026, Harrigan commented on the atmosphere at Loyola following a violent incident: “It’s no wonder Loyola students are paranoid after their classmate Sheridan Gorman was murdered at the hands of someone who never should have been in this country. Later that day, Harrigan highlighted North Carolina’s strengths in research and biotechnology: “North Carolina is already home to some of the best research universities, biotech companies, and clinical science networks in the world. Today I joined my colleagues in urging the Appropriations Committee to bring the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences home to https://t.co/dOV5kUhBCQ” (March 27, 2026).

On March 28, 2026, he discussed challenges faced by federal agents during a funding gap: “For over 40 days, TSA agents, Border Patrol officers, and ICE agents have shown up to work, kept this country safe, and done it all without knowing when their next paycheck was coming. The Senate’s answer was to fund our airports, and leave our border with nothing. That is not a https://t.co/CSh1Prb2XE”.

Pat Harrigan serves as a U.S. Congressman representing North Carolina. In 2024, he won his seat by defeating Ralph R. Scott Jr., securing approximately 57.5% of the vote.
