Congressman Pat Harrigan has recently addressed a range of national security and election integrity issues in a series of posts on his official social media account.

On February 6, 2026, Harrigan commented on the apprehension of a suspect linked to the 2012 Benghazi attack. He stated, “Attack Americans and we will hunt you down, no matter how long it takes. After more than 12 years, one of the terrorists who killed four Americans in Benghazi is finally in custody. Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods, and Glen Doherty deserved justice, and this”.

Later that day, Harrigan turned his attention to election security concerns in California. He wrote on February 6, 2026: “A dog voted. An actual dog cast a ballot in California, and the only reason we know is because the owner self-reported it. No audit caught this and no safeguard stopped it. If that doesn’t prove we need serious election security reform, nothing will.”

On February 9, 2026, Harrigan addressed an incident involving children in North Carolina. He posted: “This is heartbreaking and infuriating. Three children’s lives destroyed by someone who should never have been in this country. We have a duty to protect Americans, especially our kids, but instead three families in North Carolina are dealing with unimaginable trauma because our”.

Pat Harrigan was elected to Congress after defeating Ralph R. Scott, Jr., securing approximately 57.5% of the vote during the 2024 general election.
