City of Morganton issued the following announcement on Nov. 25.

Morganton City Hall and City facilities will be closed for Thanksgiving Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25, 2022.

Garbage collection will be affected.

If your garbage pickup day is Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, your garbage will be collected on normal schedule.

If your regular collection day is Thursday, your garbage will be collected Wednesday.
