City of Hickory Police Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 20.

We are accepting police officer applications for an April 2023 Special Session of Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET).

We have a limited number positions open for this class, so APPLY TODAY!

We will pay you while you attend BLET and for all your BLET tuition expenses. Slots will fill quickly – Apply IMMEDIATELY at https://www.hickorync.gov/employment  for the “Police Officer” position.
