City of Hickory issued the following announcement on Feb. 18.

It’s time to register for the upcoming Winter Session of Swim Lessons with the YMCA. 

City of Hickory Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism partners with the Hickory Foundation YMCA to offer FREE swim lessons to City of Hickory residents. This program is for youth ages 6 months to 12 years old. 

Winter Session 2 swim lessons will take place Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays, from February 21 to April 1. 

Just complete a City of Hickory Residency Verification Form online or by paper copy to ensure your child qualifies for free lessons through this partnership program: https://www.hickorync.gov/ymca-swim-program
