 City of Hickory Parks and Recreation Department issued the following announcement on June 20.

If you love bikes, this is the event for you! We will have everything from bike safety checks, maintenance demonstrations, bike vendors, food trucks and more! There will also be free helmets for kids while supplies last.

There will also be a bike skills course led by Hickory Police Department, as well as a group trail ride at 11:00 a.m.

Spinning Spokes will take place on Saturday, June 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hickory City Park.
