City of Hickory issued the following announcement on Sept. 5.

Save the date! The City of Hickory is partnering with the Sabre Society of North Carolina/Hickory Aviation Museum and CVCC to construct a building to house the museum’s vintage military aircraft, preserve aviation history, and provide STEM education and workforce development opportunities. 

Mark your calendars to join us for Hickory Aviation Museum’s public fundraising launch on Wednesday, September 28, at 5:30 p.m. at the Drendel Auditorium on the SALT Block.
