Caldwell County offices and convenience sites will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, in recognition of Veterans Day.

All county offices and convenience sites are scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, November 12.

Recent data from the Caldwell County school districts show that a portion of students met college readiness benchmarks in core subjects during the 2022-23 school year. Among senior students taking the science portion of the ACT, 17.9% were considered ready for college, while 19.6% of juniors achieved this level according to results reported by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (https://www.dpi.nc.gov/). In reading, 29.2% of seniors and 25.6% of juniors met college readiness standards (https://www.dpi.nc.gov/). For math, 14.5% of seniors and 15.4% of juniors were considered ready for college (https://www.dpi.nc.gov/).
