Burke County has announced that all county offices will be closed on Monday, February 2, 2026. This closure affects the general public seeking services from county departments.

The county stated that employees in critical service roles may still need to report for work as usual. “Employees in critical services may be required to report to work at normal work hours. Employees should refer to the Burke County Policy,” according to the official statement.

County staff are advised to review relevant workplace policies for further instructions regarding their duties during this closure.
